Maximum Stability for Your Nikon Z Telephoto Lenses
The Kirk LP-70V2 Lens Replacement Foot is the ideal solution when you want to unlock the full potential of your Nikon Z telephoto lenses. Instead of settling for the standard lens foot, you get a significantly more stable, thoughtful, and versatile alternative. The replacement foot swaps directly with the original part, transforming your lens into a perfectly balanced unit for tripod or gimbal use.
Crafted from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium with precision engineering, the LP-70V2 impresses with its combination of stability, low weight, and intelligent design. At just 99 g, your setup stays pleasantly light, while the robust construction ensures maximum reliability. The surface is available in either black or satin‑silver anodised finish, offering effective protection against scratches and wear in daily use.
Compatibility: Perfectly Matched to Nikon Z Telephoto Lenses
The Kirk LP-70V2 has been specifically developed for selected Nikon Z telephoto lenses and adapts optimally to their design. It is compatible with, among others, the following models:
- Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S
- Nikon Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S
- Nikon Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S
- Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S
Thanks to this precise alignment, you achieve noticeably better balance on the tripod. Especially with longer focal lengths or heavy camera‑lens combinations, the difference is immediately apparent. Vibrations are reduced, stability is increased, and you can focus entirely on your shots.
Direct Arca‑Style Integration for Quick‑Release Systems
The integrated Arca‑Style compatible dovetail makes the LP-70V2 particularly convenient to use. You can place the replacement foot directly into 38 mm quick‑release clamps without needing an extra plate. This not only saves weight but also simplifies your entire setup. The profile is compatible with clamps from Kirk, Really Right Stuff, Wimberley, Acratech, Markins, Jobu Design, ProMediaGear, and many other manufacturers.
QD Strap Socket for Enhanced Carrying Comfort
A true highlight is the built‑in QD strap socket. It allows you to use compatible quick‑detach strap systems. You can carry your setup directly from the lens – exactly where the weight sits. This provides a much more comfortable carrying feel and relieves stress on the camera mount. Especially during long shoots or when changing locations, you will quickly appreciate this difference.
Why the Kirk LP-70V2 Is the Better Choice
Compared to the original Nikon lens foot, the Kirk LP-70V2 offers decisive advantages: a direct ARCA rail that needs no additional adapter plate, a QD socket for professional strap systems, lower weight with higher rigidity, and optimised balance that minimises vibrations on the tripod. In addition, all lens controls remain freely accessible, and the lens hood can stay mounted in transport position – a real time‑saver in the field.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the Kirk LP-70V2 compatible with my Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S?

Can I use the foot without an ARCA clamp?
Absolutely. The bottom features 1/4" and 3/8" UNC threads, so you can screw the foot directly onto standard tripods or ball heads – ideal if you do not use an Arca‑Swiss system.
Do I need a separate Arca plate?
No. The dovetail is fully integrated. You can insert the foot directly into any ARCA‑compatible quick‑release clamp.
